We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Transportation Engineering Services Execution team as a Construction Program Manager.
The Construction Program Manager will play a critical role for defining process within the Transportation Execution team and benchmark the processes within the business unit.
They will be responsible for defining Amazon values and technology with the best of lean management.
The team will benchmark and deep dive processes across Pre-Construction and Construction.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Managing construction processes for updating project trackers and tools, responding to internal customer requests, presenting updates to senior leadership, escalating risks and coordinating with stakeholders for scheduling of milestone events.
Successful candidates will be natural self-starters with pre-construction or construction project management experience working with each phase of the project life cycle from site selection through construction execution.
Coordinating with the Construction teams and other stakeholders for the purpose of validating project requirements, milestone schedule planning, and milestone forecasting.
The role will also assist with mitigating project risks and aligning project teams for at risk projects.
Lead meetings with a variety of technical and non-technical teams, participate in architect performance evaluations, manage and maintain project and resource trackers, and provide weekly status updates to leadership teams.
Design and build custom reporting and dashboards to support TES with a focus on execution.
Run daily, weekly, monthly reports with an ongoing cadence to support the team with data to help with project execution and business reviews.
Create reporting and metrics to facilitate analyses and drive data-driven decision making which will support execution delivery.
Drive speed, quality, and simplification by eliminating rework loops, reducing and automating manual work and hand-offs, identifying and implementing best practices across the business, and minimizing process variability through standardization and automation.
Audit and diagnose existing Amazon processes, identify improvement opportunities, prescribe improvement strategies, and guide improvement efforts.
Foster and maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders and understand our highest priority execution pain-points and opportunities, which will translate into benchmarking initiatives that improve processes, tools, and team capabilities.
Report key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines.
Prepare and deliver business requirements reviews regarding progress and roadblocks.
Think strategically, own and perform individual deep dive analyses, which includes communicating results and implications to leaders.
Works closely with diverse teams to identify resources and collaborate in the planning and implementation of projects across the entire network.
Translate complex or ambiguous business problem statements into analysis requirements.
Excellent writing skills, to create communication that is easily digestible by the business and partners.
Domestic travel up to 25%.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
