Position Summary
The Manager, Social Media will develop, implement and manage The Pok mon Company International's Social Media Strategy, driving brand awareness, discussion and consideration across key brand pillars, generating inbound traffic and elevating the brand within the social media space. This role coordinates cross-departmentally (Marketing, PR, Ecommerce, Product Development, Organized Play and Customer Service) to support organizational and promotional goals, providing social thought leadership and a strategic POV to ensure digital engagement and amplification are integrated into the company's overall marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a creative yet analytical mindset, ensuring that campaigns and content strategies are engaging and results-driven. They will also have experience developing internationally scalable digital campaigns and leveraging analytics tools to provide consumer insights and campaign optimizations.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop, implement and optimize Pok mon's social media strategy, coordinating with international stakeholders to ensure continued effectiveness and improvement
Manage The Pok mon Company International's (TPCi's) presence across social platforms, with a focus on driving awareness and engagement for the brand
Provide thought leadership and strategic POV on broad consumer marketing initiatives, ensuring that social and digital engagement best practices and tactics are fully integrated into marketing plans for all products and services
Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include editorial calendar development and approval, community engagement efforts, promotions, etc.
Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and other similar community sites
Manage external community moderation team, and ensure vendor maintains TPCi's guidelines and standards
Define and evolve KPIs for TPCi social channels and marketing campaigns with an emphasis on meaningful measurement and actionable key learnings
Collaborate and ideate with cross-functional teams to develop annual, quarterly and product-specific marketing campaigns
Maintain and evolve TPCi's social media framework to ensure brand, legal and editorial guidelines and processes remain current, efficient and fully implemented across social content
Measure, analyze, optimize and report on campaign and content performance, refining the brand's social media strategy and framework as needed to achieve core business and community engagement objectives
Oversee social media coverage and community engagement at TPCi events
Manage, mentor and develop the social media team to ensure that the TPCi social strategy is implemented flawlessly and efficiently, with a commitment to best practice and quality
Regularly monitor industry trends, providing timely POVs and insights on platform updates, competitor activities, tools and applications
Select and manage vendors for social media and digital engagement initiatives
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

years social media marketing, with 2
years in a leadership or strategic role
Strong strategic planning, project management and organizational skills
In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.) and how they can be leveraged to achieve business goals
Understand the always on nature of social media with a willingness to work off-hours as needed to ensure best practice, channel security, brand safety and timeliness of messaging
Experience developing compelling social media campaigns and effective content strategies
Experience creating, implementing, measuring and reporting on campaign and content performance
Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format
Team leader and team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
Experience managing and developing a team, with experience onboarding to new social media management and listening platforms and social frameworks
Knowledgeable about the principles of SEO and how they apply to social content and digital asset distribution
Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Knowledge of blogging/community ecosystems relevant to TPCi is a plus
Experience working within strict brand and/or legal guidelines is a plus
Experience working within a highly regulated industry is a plus
Digital agency experience is a plus
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for TPCi events
Education
BA or BS Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field. An MBA is a plus
