Description:
The Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team is currently looking for talented individuals that can deliver high quality BigData solutions. As part of this team, you will be working with both sides of our platform, a massive RDBMS platform, and a petabyte scale open source/Hadoop platform. You will bring a solid track record of highly scalable solutions in the RDBMS arena, and demonstrated experience with BigData technologies. Our BigData Solution Development Engineers not only drive the full development/QA lifecycle of solutions day to day for our business partners, but they have an active voice in how we execute on our strategy at all levels.
Responsibilities:
oAssess business rules; perform source to target data mapping, design, review, implement and optimize ETL processes.
oReview project plans, review development and test specifications, perform data analysis, provide development support for existing systems, and troubleshoot data and/or system issues within the Data Warehouse environment as well as upstream systems, as needed.
oBuild/extend toolsets, create/maintain batch jobs, create systems documentation, and manage/mentor other ETL developers.

Required:
oPassion for BigData
oStrong Background in Data warehousing principles, architecture and its implementation in large multi-terabyte environments.
oExposure to no-sql technologies and BigData platforms such as Hadoop, HBASE or Cassandra.
oHands-on experience using procedural languages in DB2, Oracle or Teradata.
oStrong scripting skills to perform data/file manipulation (e.g., PERL)
oAbility to create and interpret data models using ERWIN, PowerDesigner, etc.
oExceptional ETL Design/Development knowledge
Optional:
oExperience working in an Agile/SCRUM model.
oExperience with testing practices, processes and artifact creation, and user acceptance testing.

oExcellent problem solving and analytical skills.
oAbility and desire to work in a fast-paced environment and stay motivated and flexible.
oAbility to work cross functionally to resolve technical, procedural, and operational issues.
Education and Work
Experience:
oMS/BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
o3 to 7
years in data warehouse technologies and/or a back-end reporting systems.
oFor lead roles, Team lead experience involving geographically dispersed teams
