If you want the unique opportunity to manage the strategy, planning, and organization of assigned events from conception through to completion as it relates back to the overall goals and objectives of the department and the companyapply to this role today! You will make recommendations on new areas of business to be involved in and new and relevant industry ideas to help transform Concur's event presence in the marketplace. Our ideal candidate will have hands-on tactical execution experience, organizing cross functional teamwork while driving all parties to success. This Sr. Event Marketing Manager will be able to complete a wide range of activities requiring clear communication and excellent organizational skills, in addition to responding quickly to change and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of an event. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Event Marketing, and sits within our Global Marketing team. We have the opportunity, you have the talent. Responsibilities:
Understands Concurs goals and objectives as it relates to events and applies this learning when researching, identifying and implementing opportunities for events and vendors
Work to develop and produce detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
Planning, securing, coordinating, organizing and arranging all facets of the event. Including:
establishes cost projection and manages event budgets and negotiate all necessary vendor contracts, booking and coordinating the venue and accommodations, ensuring insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to, planning room layouts and the entertainment program, workshops and demonstrations, manage event logistics including AV, speaker needs, catering, collateral and giveaways, and executive meetings
Identifying and securing speakers or special guests
co-coordinating staffing requirements and staff briefings
overseeing the dismantling and removal of Concur Event Property as necessary
Meeting with sponsors and organizing committees in order to plan scope and format of events, to monitor budgets, execute logistics, and to review administrative procedures and event progress
Manage the selling of sponsorship/stand/exhibition space to potential to partners as necessary
Coordinate plans in conjunction with PR and Marketing to promote events, drive attendance and awareness of Concur
Coordinate with creative team to establish event branding and signage and manage the deadlines
Coordinate with Social Media team to establish social media opportunities/strategy for each event
Conducting post-event evaluations (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders)
Evaluate, select and manage service providers while leveraging discounts for Concur
Designing and implementing the publicity of events and promoting sponsorships
Communicating with all stakeholders and driving deadlines for deliverables for individual events while supporting event teams goals and objectives
Manage your continuing education to stay current on event industry trends and policies impacting Concur
Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies
Position Requirements
Education, Experience & Training required:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or equivalent
Minimum 6 years' experience managing events in a fast-paced environment
CMP or similar event related credentials preferred
Strong background in tradeshow and conference management
Previous Marketing or Communications experience preferred
Ability to pass a background check
