Summary:
Manages the activities of 2 or more units within a small centralized payroll department in carrying out responsibility for payroll preparation/processing and one or more related responsibilities such as tax reporting, benefits-records administration, or payroll systems maintenance.
Manage a regional or sectional payroll and related activities in an organization that has multiple stand-alone payrolls reporting to a centralized payroll authority.
Role and
Responsibilities:
Maintains payroll information by designing systems; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data
Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers
Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts
Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
Partners with Human Resources
Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies
Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Ensure all employees hours are submitted/approved and correctly uploaded into ADP
Process employee wage garnishments as appropriate
Maintain and manage payroll files and records
Complete Multiple Worksite Reports
Prepare and review quarterly and annual wage reconciliations and W2 processing
Reconcile payroll accounts on a monthly basis
Prepare ad hoc reports out of ADP as requested by business units
Assist with filing federal and state tax payments
Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy
Responsible for compliance with all applicable federal and state laws pertaining to taxes and payroll
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in finance or accounting
Experience with ADP Enterprise 5
CPP is highly preferred
Hands on experience with not only managing, but actually processing payroll processing manual adjustments, commission payment uploads and overtime calculations as pertains to commissions, incentives and bonus payments
5 years of previous experience as a manager or lead
Must have excellent Excel skills; VLOOKUP, charts, graphs and data analysis and reporting
Substantial knowledge of all aspects of payroll taxes and federal and state wage/labor laws
Excellent communication, presentation, written and technical skills required
Ability to meet and/or exceed deadlines required
Must be flexible and able to adapt to a quickly changing environment
General knowledge of employee benefits and employment practices and insurance laws
Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customersEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
