Role Description
The Sr. Software Developer participates in the design and development of software products for internal purposes as well as for external customers. They will solve complex problems, shares his/her expert knowledge with other team members,
coach
(junior) team members and will actively participate on professional team development.
Responsibilities
Designs software architecture, prototyping and implementation of non-trivial algorithms
Prepares technical project specifications (requirements gathering, prioritization and evaluation, estimations)
Develops software applications and tools according to specification and internal rules for software development
Plans future application/systems development, acts as a visionary and technology evangelist
Designs and plans functional tests for software applications and executes the tests
Manages the project from the technical perspective; responsible for the technological and quality aspects
Provides expert knowledge to other developers, team members and other employees; coaches (junior) members of the team
Plans, prepares and assigns tasks to team members; tracks work performance progress, and test reviews
Actively contributes to improvement of software development processes; effectively utilizes latest technologies and monitors trends
Solves complex technical problems like performance tuning & diagnostics; provides consultancy
services
B.A. or B.S. in a related field such as
computer
science or engineering
Advanced knowledge of C#, T-SQL, ASP.NET 2.0, AJAX, WebServices/SOA, REST API, MSSQL
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming: OOD, UML, design patterns
5 years of professional experience with developing commercial software systems
MCAD/MCSD or MCPD certification or higher is expected
At least 1 year experience with leading a team of developers
Demonstrated knowledge & experience with leading software development projects: ITIL (release mgmt, change mgmt.), PRINCE2 and Agile/RUP methodologies
Strong focus on solution and effectiveness
Abstract thinker, creative mind, thoroughness, ability to adapt to frequent change
