IT Application Development Engineer, MSP-CX

Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) is seeking an experienced and self-driven IT Application Development Engineer for the Customer Experience (CX) Deployment & Ramp (DR) Apps, Data, & Productivity Tools team.
In this role, you will work with a team of engineers and program/product managers to design, develop, test, and deploy a critical set of mobile/web solutions/tools using cloud-based platforms.
You will make analytical, data-driven decisions, apply your strong technical ability to audit and design systems, manage engineering projects and evangelize your team's products and ideas.
You will manage and execute against project plans and delivery commitments.
You will participate in day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment.
You will report on the status of work, quality, and operations, and system performance to management.
The MSP organization is responsible for providing software and data solutions for internal Amazon teams working on delivering cutting-edge automation technology to increase the capacity of the Amazon Fulfillment network.
These teams include planning, program management, and field teams such as Deployment Engineering and Machine Safety.
Partnering with other Application Development engineers, Data Engineers, and Product & Program Managers, you will support existing mobile/web front-end tools/applications and help build new ones to be used by various teams across the globe.
You must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical teams, as well as across other geographies.
Successful members of this team collaborate effectively to solve problems, implement new solutions, and deliver successfully against high operational standards.
The successful candidate will also have strong data mining and modeling skills and is comfortable facilitating ideation and working from concept through to execution.
This role will build mobile/web tools and support structures needed to analyze data.
You will be proficient with the use of cloud-based platforms to develop mobile/web tools with focus on automation and optimization to meet business needs.
You will work closely with Data Engineers and TPM's on many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative problem-solving to deliver actionable output.
A qualified candidate must have demonstrated the ability to organize and mentor other engineers, handle large-scale data modeling projects, identify requirements and tools, build apps/tools/automations that are explainable and scalable.
In addition to the technical skills, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, strong focus on internal customers and professional demeanor and high intellectual curiosity with ability to learn new concepts/frameworks and technology rapidly as changes arise.

No weekend travel is expected or required.
A day in the lifeA typical day for this role includes participating in a daily standup meeting with the team, in order to report on the progress being made on the current sprint cycle as well as to identify any blockers that the team can help remove.
A queue of tickets from the users of the apps and tools will be scoped out each sprint and each quarter, in order to best allocate the available working hours amongst the team.
You will also join in on other weekly meetings with the team leadership, and occasionally meet with users to discuss their requests in detail.
When not in a meeting (the amount of which will be kept to a minimum whenever possible), you will be working on new feature requests or other tickets as mentioned above.
Travel would include site visits to learn more about the products that our tools support, as well as any team-building events that occur throughout the year.
Any emergent requests or outages will need to be resolved quickly, but otherwise there is no expectation to be on-call in this role.
About the teamThe Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience (MSP CX) team works backwards from Internal Customer insights to Validate, Deploy and Support MSP solutions in Brownfield and Greenfield Sites globally, maximizing solutions readiness and customer satisfaction.
MSP CX maintains unified accountability in the field towards our internal Customers (RME, Ops, ACES, PE, GES, etc.
), enabling vertical integration and life-cycle management of MSP solutions across 3 pillars:
(I) Quality Assurance (MSP CX-QA), (II) Deployment & Ramp-up (MSP CX-DR), and (III) Support (MSP CX-S).
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Bellevue, WA, USA Herndon, VA, USA North Reading, MA, USA.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
