AoPS Academy offers unique problem solving curriculum at its in-person locations across the country as well as through the virtual campus.
The AoPS Academy in Bellevue, WA is hiring part-time Math & Language Arts Teaching Assistants (TAs) with strong math, reading, writing, and grammar skills to support our campus during the summer.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to work with motivated younger students and contribute to the AoPS Academy community.
This is a part-time, IN-PERSON position for our 2024 camps.
Our TAs contribute greatly to the success of our students and are an integral part of our Academy family.
This may be a great fit for you if you enjoy interacting with students, guiding them as they work through challenging math problems, and helping them feel more confident about math concepts.
Summer TAs support AoPS instructors in the classroom to help keep students engaged and on task.
They work with students during class to help them understand the material by asking/answering questions and providing feedback on assignments.

Job Duties:
Work with students individually or in small groups.
Help keep the class engaged and focused.
Collaborate with instructors and full-time staff to create an excellent experience for all students.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years old or older Possess strong math skills with the ability to help students navigate advanced concepts Experience with/interest in working with younger students strongly preferred Exceptional written and spoken communication Positive and encouraging attitude that helps students feel comfortable asking questions Detail-oriented and organized Familiarity with the AoPS curriculum is not required, but a plus Location and Schedule:
As this is an in-person position at our Bellevue campus location, candidates must be located in Bellevue or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.
During the summer, we offer multiple two-week camps between June - August.
Camp classes are held Monday-Friday for 3 hours a day, with both morning and afternoon classes.
Benefits and Compensation:
The Teaching Assistant pay rate at our Bellevue location is $16.
00/hour.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
