Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead the Relay Program for Global Mile destination drayage operations.

The Relay program is a technology-focused initiative that addresses Global Mile's drayage capacity requirements for the next three years, ensuring customer satisfaction while meeting performance and budget objectives.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external, to develop a multi-year roadmap with significant business impact.
This will involve working alongside Amazon Engineering and Product teams, external Port authorities and drayage providers, Global Trade Compliance/Customs, Legal, and Operations teams.
The candidate should demonstrate good judgment, encourage constructive dialogue, reconcile differing views, and build consensus across multiple teams independently.
Their work will involve handling complex and ambiguous situations, focusing on areas where the strategy has yet to be defined.
Outstanding candidates will possess a background in global logistics, with expertise in operations, tech products, and data analysis.
They will be responsible for expanding Relay capabilities in the US and EU markets.
This individual will develop a vision, roadmaps, and plans in collaboration with partner teams to achieve network capacity goals and establish a comprehensive destination drayage strategy.
Effective communication of ideas, including complex decisions, trade-offs, and potential solutions, to leaders is crucial.
They should also be proficient in developing risk management strategies to ensure smooth network operations during peak periods.
Identifying at-risk operations and proactively implementing contingency protocols to prevent service failures will be essential.
Successful candidates should be able to retrieve and analyze data using tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, or other data management systems.
Key job responsibilities- Develop and scale Relay Program as a reliable drayage solution to multiple international ports across US and EU.
Solve for capacity gaps focused on lower end to end costs and improving lead time.
- Responsible for providing visibility to the leadership team via written documents on an ongoing basis.
Partnering with relevant stakeholders and team members, anticipating and removing obstacles with a sense of urgency and keeping program deliverables on track.
- Performing data analysis/modelling using Long range forecast to analyze capacity gaps and come up with recommendations to solve.
- Maintain a global scope in building drayage strategy network capabilities partnering with leaders in both US and EU regions, thereby sharing best practices and standardization.
- Comfortable with ambiguities, conflicting priorities and multi-cultural and matrix environment.
- Track record of working with and meeting ambitious timelines.
- Some travel will be required for this role.
This travel is not expected to exceed 25%.
