Amazon's Global Supply Chain (GSC) team is seeking a dynamic leader to fill the role of Principal, Supply Chain Innovation.
This position aims to conceptualize, develop, and implement avant-garde supply chain solutions, ensuring the efficient movement of packages throughout Amazon's Supply Chain network.
The role offers a significant opportunity to make an impact within one of Amazon's most critical segments, Supply Chain by Amazon.
As the Principal, Supply Chain Innovation, the successful candidate will lead the identification and oversight of innovative solutions and products for both inbound and outbound supply chain operations.
Leading a dedicated team, this individual will drive impactful and visible projects by collaborating with various internal stakeholders to define network strategies and achieve operational KPIs, thereby upholding Amazon's service commitments.
Additionally, the role encompasses the responsibility for the incubation and realization of novel supply chain strategies within the Amazon Warehouse distribution network, leveraging the capabilities offered by Supply Chain by Amazon (SCA).
The objective is to augment the efficiency and effectiveness of the Amazon fulfillment network, delivering unparalleled customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner.
Key job responsibilitieso Champion the development and execution of customer-centric strategies, establishing long-term objectives and operational plans.
o Innovate and implement new mechanisms to facilitate coordination and scalability for projects within the Supply Chain Innovation Organization.
o Ensure that project implementations are congruent with program objectives and adapt as necessary to meet evolving requirements.
o Serve as a customer advocate, evaluating projects against success criteria to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SCOT, ATS, NACF Ops, and GSC, to establish and achieve ambitious organizational goals.
o Define and monitor key performance metrics, conducting regular audits to assess program efficacy.
o Identify and address process inefficiencies through a comprehensive analysis of metrics, proposing operational enhancements such as automation and self-service solutions.
o Document and disseminate clear white papers and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to articulate functional requirements and guide implementation efforts.
