As a result of growth and org complexity, Amazon Retail Sales Team is seeking to add a new Sr Manager, Supply Chain Process Innovation to the team to bring subject matter expertise needed to develop and employ joint strategies with Amazon which will deliver optimal operational processes to maximize efficiency, automate, reduce costs; anticipate risks, enable data-based decisions; and result in improved In Stocks, On Time Delivery, and cost. Role and Responsibilities Increase visibility to performance and business insights o Utilize Amazon Vendor Central Reporting for real-time insights on risks and opportunity and actions needed. o Create/manage KPI dashboards to give visibility to operational performance and opportunity. o Prepare data and insights for key internal & external meetings and ad-hoc requests. Innovate the Supply Chain o Build future-state processes to enable new capabilities (i.e. Direct Ship) or other Amazon strategic programs. o Strive for centralization, standardization and efficiency of data manipulation and sharing. o Define strategies to move toward Forecast and Buying Automation through current process and data improvements to pave the way and remove obstacles for future state technology. Gain confidence from customers and internal teams o Work directly with Amazon on joint Operational Excellence, Product Availability, and Strategic Initiatives. o Engage in Amazon annual negotiation strategies to maximize sales and profitability growth. o Develop cross-functional relationships to work cross-category for Center of Excellence approach to Amazon. o Foster and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders. o Become an expert on Amazon operational requirements, processes, tools, and data. Improve Operational Performance o Work ahead by anticipating business needs and developing a proactive approach to managing the supply chain. o Root cause and mitigate processes related to Amazon Inbound Routing Guide requirements for Vendor Compliance to ensure operational excellence. (Labelling, ASN, On Time Delivery) o Engage weekly with Logistics to drive continuous improvement in On Time performance; speed/cost/efficiency. o Collaborate with Amazon on on-going operations with standing meetings and touchpoints to reassess and improve end-to-end operations to improve efficiency and reduce cost. Skills and Qualifications Knowledge/Experience 10
years of Supply Chain Management and planning experience with National Retail brands and/or Retailers Supply Chain Management expertise with a Retailer, or Manufacturer, preferably in Consumer Electronics. Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex supply chain concepts and influence business stakeholders Team-oriented with a strong ability to build cross-functional relationships Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Planning, Order Management, Logistics, Pricing Operations Experience with Amazon Vendor Central and Amazon Vendor Routing Procedures is a plus Skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to manage multiple projects (yet maintain attention to detail), and often competing priorities. Ability to navigate through ambiguity and self-start meaningful objectives Competency in Retail and Supply Chain Operational metrics such as In Stock, Weeks of Supply, On Time Delivery High proficiency in MS Suite:
Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint; Experience with SAP & Tableau. Ability to navigate Samsung to gather information, elicit feedback, gain buy-in, and engage others in priorities. Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, operations management, or related field. Process standardization, documentation, improvement and optimization experience (Six Sigma is a plus)
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & Logistics, Operations ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
