Summary:
Responsible for the execution of the product line planning life cycle. This role will execute and lead the development, life cycle and validation management of the product planning cycle. This role will initiate new product technology developments, product introductions, and model launches in support of product sales teams. Problems and issues faced are vague, and require reasoning of broader set of issues and variables to identify root cause within job area. Applies in-depth knowledge and skills of a specific/specialized technical area with understanding of external environment factors that may affect own specialist area. Provides advice, coaching and counseling within particular discipline/function area.Role and Responsibilities Serve as a SME for product development and life cycle inquiries to all functions of SEA. Executes strategic product development plans and programs for initial product design, development, field application testing, installation, and performance. Conducts product development and installation plans for assigned carriers and specific customers. Coordinates product availability and product launches issues with customer support, sales, field support, and customer engineering. Resolves all cross-functional issues and provides technical analysis and support to customers. Communicates project status to the product planning, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure fulfillment of contractual commitments. Reviews user manuals and documentation to maintain accuracy and consistency. Provides initial customer training and orientation on new product launches. Facilitates meetings with R&D development, sales, marketing, deployment, and service personnel to develop and execute cohesive and comprehensive plans to satisfy customer's requirements and SEA's and carrier product performance expectations. Maintains close and frequent working relationships with SEA manufacturing, engineering, distribution management, internal departments, and customers to optimize delivery of products within projected timelines and according to contractual agreements. Participates in development of specific customer strategies. Assists in product line planning, development, product introduction, and life cycle management resources to the Wireless Terminals Sales organization. Responsible for integration of new technology into product offering. Ensures new customer acceptance of products and acceptance of new Samsung Wireless Terminals product introductions by existing customers. Coordinates and develops reports, management analysis, and technical information for the effective communication of project teams' performance and progress against plans. Provides technical product information to Headquarters, R&D, and manufacturing for future product planning, developments, and introductions. Responsible for solving complex technical problems and responds to complex requests from internal and external customers. Makes decisions within guidelines and policies. Provides risk management plan as well as risk mitigation for achieving timely product launch with quality focus. Is accountable for the contributions of the project team. Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor's Degree with 8-10 years of directly related experience is required. Prior experience with GSM/LTE/5G product test, product development and/or technical project management required. Technical understanding of 5G, LTE, VoLTE, IMS, RCS and other IP services is preferred. Understanding of RF including GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G are preferred. Must be able to write, read, analyze, and interpret wireless terminals technical product and have strong understanding of technology associated with the wireless terminal products. Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite and extensive use of Windows presentation software in an NT LAN/WAN network environment Necessary Skills & Attributes:
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company. Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed. Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels. Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications. The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives. Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas. Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule. Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company's competitive position.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
