Manager, Software Development Engineer at Apptio in Bellevue, WA
You will directly manage 4-6 developers and lead them to design and deliver impactful and valuable platform features across the Cloudability product. The primary responsibility of a software manager is to manage and coordinate the resources and processes used in delivering Apptio Cloudability products. The goal is to deliver quality software to customers within the specified period and handle everything necessary to achieve this. Your responsibilities will include helping to scale our platform to support our growing customer base partnering with product managers, designers, and other engineering leaders to build/refine the product roadmap and establish engineering goals collaborating with the leadership team to continuously manage trade-offs between scope, resources, and time during the development lifecycle Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

years of software engineering experience. 1
years of experience as a software engineering manager/team lead. Experience releasing software in an agile, CI, and DevOps environment. Experience of planning, executing, and delivering projects with multiple engineers in an agile environment. Experience in operating a production system at scale, maintaining security compliance, and using telemetry and observability to drive action. Supply leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead the team members to their optimum performance level
Qualifications:
Bring visibility to the software teams progress and communicate effectively with management and customers. Experience tuning performance and scalability of containerized (e.g.:
Docker), cloud-based applications (e.g.:
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g.:
Terraform, CloudFormation). Familiarity with RESTful systems and their APIs. Experience contributing to a product user experience both as a leader and as an individual contributor. Experience in collaborating with Product, Design, and other cross-functional partners to create a meaningful vision and roadmap for the team. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
