Your OpportunityStantec s Northwest Transportation group has an immediate need for a full time, highly motivated Senior Design Manager with 15 years of experience working on mid-size to large transportation projects as well as transit projects.
This position is based in Bellevue, WA office.
This is an excellent opportunity to pursue and manage engineering projects using alternative delivery method of varying scale and complexity in Washington.
You will oversee pursuits, technical employees, work planning, technical design management and oversight, project delivery, quality management, contract administration, change management, and risk management.

Your Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to initiatives to help advance our project design, operations, and business developmentMaintain and enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals as an outstanding service providerEstablish project objectives, procedures, and performance standardsLead multi-disciplinary teams on projects from positioning to proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction servicesRepresent Stantec and the project design team as a technical leaderIdentify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives.
Manage contract tasks, track, and manage costs and schedule, and implement measures necessary to stay on schedule and within budget.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyLead by example with active support of internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality managementGrow internal and external networks to enhance Stantec reputation and identify additional talent to join our teamDevelop client relationships to facilitate project activitiesEstablish, maintain, and promote partnerships in project pursuitsQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsWashington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) design and management experience a plusMarketing skills requiredAbility to lead, motivate, mentor, and develop a team of technical and professional staffAbility to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in a dynamic and energetic environmentDesign-Build or other alterative project delivery experienceEducation and ExperienceBachelor s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
Post graduate degree preferredProfessional Engineer (P.
E.
) licensed in the State of Washington (or ability to obtain within 6 months)Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive engineering and project management experience on mid to large scale transportation or transit projectsExperience with the role of deputy design manager, design manager, and or quality manager on mid to large scale projectsExperience leading the design and construction support of complex transportation and/or transit projectsExperience developing, negotiating, and managing project scopes, schedules, and budgetsBusiness development experience requiredTypical office environment includes working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Salary Range(s):
$141,600 - $212,400 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in WAThe final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year.
In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
Washington state employees are eligible to accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked except for Seattle employees who accrue sick leave in accordance with the city s paid sick leave law.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
