In this role you can look forward to
o Playing an active role in all aspects of software development, including technical designs, implementation, functional analysis, and release
o Taking a leadership role in transforming several relational databases to high performance non-relational data stores (Mongo db, Cassandra etc).
o Performing logical and physical data modeling
o Troubleshoot, trend, analyze and resolve data and database problems in a production environment.
o Developing optimized stored procedures to solve complex problems; tune databases and systems for peak performance
o Working with Product owners and the engineering team to maintain a healthy backlog by providing estimates, constraints and schedules
o Actively participating in technical reviews and contribute to improving engineering practices and excellence.
o Developing innovative solutions to business problems/processes as a full stack engineer
What you can bring to the team
o 3-4 years experience of database modeling, design, development, and implementation experience in a mission critical OLTP environment.
o Excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills to support high load production systems
o Experience with non-relational datastores (Mongodb, Cassandra etc).
o 2-3 years experience with optimizing Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012 utilizing indexing, partitioning and caching patterns and technologies
o Experience with .NET or Java development with the goal of mastering. Exposure to web services technologies preferred.
o Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
o Ability to learn and to quickly adapt to new technologies
o Ability to both work independently and collaboratively within a scrum agile team.
